Tughans shortlisted for multiple categories in Northern Ireland Dealmakers Awards 2025

Tughans is pleased to announce that we have been shortlisted in several categories at the Northern Ireland Dealmakers Awards 2025. This recognition reflects the strength of our corporate team and the key role we play in significant transactions across the region.

The Northern Ireland Dealmakers Awards celebrate firms and professionals driving mergers and acquisitions, funding transactions and other corporate deals throughout the local market. Our shortlisting in multiple categories is a culmination of the trust our clients continually place in us to deliver commercially sound advice and close deals.

Shortlisted categories:

  • Corporate Law Firm of the Year: Recognising consistent performance and leadership in Corporate Law.
  • Dealmaker of the Year: Tughans Corporate Partner, Ben Sims.
  • Emerging Dealmaker of the Year: Tughans Corporate Directors, Aimee Craig and Brendan Donnelly.
  • Deal of the Year (over £10m): For our role in the investment in Axial3D by 57 Stars, a significant transaction that demonstrates our capability in handling large-scale deals.
  • Private Equity/Venture Capital Deal of the Year: Acknowledging our involvement in four key private equity and venture capital transactions.
  • Deal of the Year (£2.5m – £10m): Acknowledging our involvement in four key investment deals.
  • Deal of the Year (below £2.5m): Acknowledging our involvement in two key investment deals.

In 2023, we were proud to be named Corporate Law Firm of the Year at the Northern Ireland Insider Media Dealmakers Awards, with Corporate Partner Paul O’Brien winning Dealmaker of the Year. Alongside our continued ranking as Northern Ireland’s most active corporate law firm in the Experian MarketIQ M&A review for nine consecutive years, these recent accolades reflect our consistent role in the market.

James Donnelly, Head of Corporate at Tughans, commented: “Being shortlisted in multiple categories this year is great recognition of the hard work and expertise of our team.  We take pride in supporting businesses in Northern Ireland and further afield by providing clear, pragmatic legal advice that helps our clients close deals with confidence.”

The winners will be announced at the Northern Ireland Dealmakers Awards ceremony next month. We look forward to the event and congratulate all nominees.
